Heavy Down Pour Storm Ilorin, Destroyed several Houses - community cries out, call for government assistance. Yesterday, it was a rainy experience for people within Ilorin metropolis as rain stormed the city and selectively destroyed several properties. The rainy experience was not favorable. The SATCOMMEDIA learnt that the rainstorm that occurred on Saturday night also displaced many people at Oke Ogun community, in Edun, Idiagbon community, in Emirs road, Isale-Gambari among other affected areas. Though no lives were lost in the incident. An eyewitness from the community affirmed the incident and call on government for assistance, as many people left were devastated with little or without hope of assistance from any quarters. He however, further stressed that, any assistance for non-governmental organizations would go along way in restoring the lost hope and further placed them back to normal life.

Olododo mourns Tafida of Ilorin Dr. Amuda Oluko.

Hon. Abdulganiyu S. Cokk Olododo, member representing Ilorin East/ South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly expressed sadness over the demise of Late Ilorin, Dr Amuda Aluko on Friday.

Olododo extols the Founder of the renowned Garin- Alimi Hospital of Ilorin of his immeasurable contribution to medical profession, health practices, social development and service to humanity in his immediate community and kwara state. He described the late Tafida as Distinguished Medical Practitioner and a remarkable elder stateman who had served his immediate community, the Ilorin Emirates Council with dedication.

According to him, "the great contribution of foremost medical Practitioner would be remembered by prosperity for many years to come"  and believed that medical Profession without making a reference to him in the state is rawness. He salutes the community spirit of departed, who was in the vanguard of Medical Practitioner and Ilorin Emirates Council. He described his demise as the end of a life well spent, with indelible footprints in the soil of Ilorin Emirates, Kwara State and Nigeria at large. He commiserates with the Family, Friends and associate, urging them to take a solace in the fact the demise, Tafida of Ilorin, Dr. Amuda Aluko lived a fulfilled and Distinguished life.

He also extends his  condolence message to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari (CFR), the  of Emir Ilorin, Entire Ilorin Emirate Traditional Council and  Council of Ulamah over the irreparable lost of a illustrious Son and committed members of the Emirate. He beseeches on  Almighty Allah to forgive all his shortcomings and making Aljana Firdouz his final Abode.
