Heavy Down Pour Storm Ilorin, Destroyed several Houses - community cries out, call for government assistance. Yesterday, it was a rainy experience for people within Ilorin metropolis as rain stormed the city and selectively destroyed several properties. The rainy experience was not favorable. The SATCOMMEDIA learnt that the rainstorm that occurred on Saturday night also displaced many people at Oke Ogun community, in Edun, Idiagbon community, in Emirs road, Isale-Gambari among other affected areas. Though no lives were lost in the incident. An eyewitness from the community affirmed the incident and call on government for assistance, as many people left were devastated with little or without hope of assistance from any quarters. He however, further stressed that, any assistance for non-governmental organizations would go along way in restoring the lost hope and further placed them back to normal life.
Hon. Abdul Wahab Oladimeji Issa commiserates with Emir of Ilorin, Family and Friends of Tafida of Ilorin, Dr Amuda Aluko.
Tafida's death hit me like a thunder bolt, I feel personally devastated, I know Dr Amuda Aluko as an extra-ordinary leader who gave most of his active years to the safety of Human lives through his Medical Profession and also to the development of Ilorin Emirate Community.
Beyond his very much celebrated and deserving achievements, he was a man who was extra-ordinary in his integrity, extra-ordinary in his patriotism and extra-ordinary in his sheer goodness, sheer sense of solidarity and fellowship with fellow human beings.
Premise on the above, I therefore pray Allah, Rahmanir Rahim grant the family, friends and the entire Ilorin Emirate Community *Sabur* in this tough time and grant you the strength and fortitude to bear this great loss.
I can’t think of anything soothing right at this moment. But I pray Allah (SWT) forgive all his shortcomings and grant him the best abode in Aljanatul Firdaus! Ameen !.
Hon. Abdul Wahab Oladimeji Issa.
Former member House of Representatives.
