Heavy Down Pour Storm Ilorin, Destroyed several Houses - community cries out, call for government assistance. Yesterday, it was a rainy experience for people within Ilorin metropolis as rain stormed the city and selectively destroyed several properties. The rainy experience was not favorable. The SATCOMMEDIA learnt that the rainstorm that occurred on Saturday night also displaced many people at Oke Ogun community, in Edun, Idiagbon community, in Emirs road, Isale-Gambari among other affected areas. Though no lives were lost in the incident. An eyewitness from the community affirmed the incident and call on government for assistance, as many people left were devastated with little or without hope of assistance from any quarters. He however, further stressed that, any assistance for non-governmental organizations would go along way in restoring the lost hope and further placed them back to normal life.

Assalamu Alaikum Waramatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
In a giant stride aimed at preventing the spread of Coronavirus from having veritable space in Kwara State, His Royal Highness, The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR., Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, in his capacity as Vice President General of Jamat Nasri Islam, has directed me to urge all muslim faithfuls in Kwara State to make a sacrifice by keeping off from various Eid Praying Grounds across the 16 Local Government Council Areas in Kwara State during the forthcoming Eid El Fitri Prayers.
However, the Emir in conjunction with the Council of Ulamau in the State has directed all muslims faithfuls in the State to observe their two Eid-il-fitri rakat (NAFILAT) in their various homes or (areas of domicile) with members of their family only.
Muslims are reminded that the rakat of Eid-il-fitri nafilat attracts seven (7) Allahu Akbar while the second final rakat attracts reading 6. The Imam leading the family prayer must avoid delivering Uthba message before and after the prayer.
The directive of the State Government concerning keeping social distance among others at this time of Covid-19 aimed at protecting lives and public safety must be compiled with by the worshippers.
His Royal Highness Maimartaba Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambri, CFR., congratulates the entire muslim communities in the State, in advance, for witnessing the end of 2020 Ramadan and prays Allah to accept our Ibadah.
