Heavy Down Pour Storm Ilorin, Destroyed several Houses - community cries out, call for government assistance. Yesterday, it was a rainy experience for people within Ilorin metropolis as rain stormed the city and selectively destroyed several properties. The rainy experience was not favorable. The SATCOMMEDIA learnt that the rainstorm that occurred on Saturday night also displaced many people at Oke Ogun community, in Edun, Idiagbon community, in Emirs road, Isale-Gambari among other affected areas. Though no lives were lost in the incident. An eyewitness from the community affirmed the incident and call on government for assistance, as many people left were devastated with little or without hope of assistance from any quarters. He however, further stressed that, any assistance for non-governmental organizations would go along way in restoring the lost hope and further placed them back to normal life.

The honourable commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy affairs, Hon. Hajia Aishat Ahman-Pategi in partnership with D-Positive Global Image Services Consult LIMITED sponsored the youths across the sixteen local Government area of Kwara State for CBN/NIRSAL Entrepreneurial development Training in a bid to foster and develop youth capacity in entrepreneurial activities.

In the opening remark by the  Chief Executive Officer of the D-Positive Global Image Services Consult L.t.d ,Mall. Nasir Abdulquadir acknowledged the enthusiasm and commitment of the Honourable Commissioner in ensuring that youth in Kwara State should build their capability in order to compete favourably with their peers across the globe. He further charge the beneficiaries of the first strea to use the opportunity given by the Honourable Commissioner to advance economic of the State and Nigeria at large by being self sufficient and visionary. It is also required of them to add value to the society.

Sanni Fatima Adedeji, CEO of Bintu_zahrah_Stitches, who is one of the participants, said she is passionate about learning extra skills aside getting a formal education, she also said the training is educative and It surpassed her expectations

Muhammad Nura from Moro LG, he is into Arewa Caps and clothing business, he said the training came at a time he needed it most, As a graduate, one needs  not bother much on how to be gainfully employed rather how to become an employee. And D-POSITIVE consult is representing the yearning of the new world order that Nigerian youths need at this point in time.
And also "The training is an Eye-opener for small businesses like mine and for anyone who intend to start a business"

Another participant, Aliyu Idris, he is appreciative of the Honourable commisioner for local government for her interest in them ,hajia Aishat Ahman Pategi . He is into fish farming said the training came at the right time, where looking for a white-collar job is difficult.
