Heavy Down Pour Storm Ilorin, Destroyed several Houses - community cries out, call for government assistance. Yesterday, it was a rainy experience for people within Ilorin metropolis as rain stormed the city and selectively destroyed several properties. The rainy experience was not favorable. The SATCOMMEDIA learnt that the rainstorm that occurred on Saturday night also displaced many people at Oke Ogun community, in Edun, Idiagbon community, in Emirs road, Isale-Gambari among other affected areas. Though no lives were lost in the incident. An eyewitness from the community affirmed the incident and call on government for assistance, as many people left were devastated with little or without hope of assistance from any quarters. He however, further stressed that, any assistance for non-governmental organizations would go along way in restoring the lost hope and further placed them back to normal life.

Cook Olododo Fecilitates with the Emir of Ilorin as he clocks 80.

The Honorable member representing Ilorin East and Ilorin South Federal Constituency and the Chairman, House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development in the National Assembly, Hon. Abdulganiyu Cook Olododo felicitated with the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Zulu Gambari (CFR) as he clocks 80 years on earth on the 22nd of April, 2020.

In his felicitation message, Hon. Cook Olododo described the Royal father as a loving monarch whose reign has brought peace and tranquility not only to the people of Ilorin Emirate but to the people of Kwara State in general.

Hon. Cook Olododo says:  'the Emir of Ilorin who also doubles as the Chairman of Kwara State Traditional Council has always demonstrated uncommon concern to the welfare of his subjects. This is also evidenced in the  committee recently constituted by the Royal father to raise funds for Covid 19 palliative measure and the huge amount of money he donated to the committee.

Hon. Olododo noted that as a former Chairman of Ilorin East Local Government Area, a former Commissioner, a former Chief of Staff and a former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Kwara State he had course to relate with the Royal father and his experience with him has always been pleasant and memorable.

He therefore wished the Emir of Ilorin more prosperous years laced with good health and tranquility on the throne and on the earth.
